1. All submitted material remains the sole and complete property of the client, and the editing, proofreading and any other work done to or on that document will not constitute a new copyright on the material by the proofreader or of the business itself [Englishpro.co.uk]. Any apparent rights of the proofreader or business in relation to work completed on your document are waived in response to the purchaser paying the agreed sum for the service. Englishpro.co.uk and its staff therefore obtain no intellectual property whatsoever in your material through the carrying out of the services described.

2. The time scales given by us are for return of the corrected document by e-mail and we do not hold ourselves responsible for any delays in the post.

3. Englishpro.co.uk maintains strict privacy rules, and all transactions and materials are treated with the utmost discretion. Proofreaders must only work from a secured, central computer and cannot have access to original files submitted. All proofreaders will sign a confidentiality agreement, and undergo testing and appraisal before being allowed to work on any document sent to us for proofreading.

4. Documents will be returned as fast as possible to the customer and if not returned due to any delay on the part of Englishpro.co.uk, within the specified guarantee period (or other agreed period if different) the user will be entitled to a 50% refund on purchase price for each 24 hour period the document is delayed, but only up to the point at which a full refund amount has been reached. When faster services are agreed in advance the agreed timescale will be followed by Englishpro.co.uk and any delays will be refunded in proportion to the standard refund calculation regarding delays.

5. Our proofreaders are highly qualified and experienced individuals in this area, both parties do however agree to take into account the fact that in any situation where human skill is involved, human error may occur. Having regard to this the parties agree to treat corrected documents as indeed corrected; should a stylistic or other proofing omission occur, or appear to have occurred post-proofing, both parties agree that the service provider will not be held responsible for any related matters or damages occurring thereof. The service provided guarantees to correct all grammar, punctuation, spelling, capitalisation and spacing issues come across whilst reading the text but regrets to be unable to correct documents in languages other than English, and which contain heavily subject specific terminology - for example, that of a specific area of science or technology which deals with detailed terminology.

6. The 'standard service' refers to a proofreading service covering the checks as mentioned above, completed within four days [96hours] of receipt of document. Any user pre-agreed modifications to the timescale for delivery will be given a bespoke price in line with the standard service but taking into effect the expediency required on the part or our proofreaders. Standard service timescales cannot run from the time of payment unless document has been submitted at that time also, users who submit documents by e-mail at a different time to their payment time and that time is after rather than before the payment time will have their 96 hours time limit for returns calculated from the time of our actual receipt of the document. This allows us our allocated full time to read the document should that time be necessary.

7. Englishpro.co.uk maintains no responsibility for any documents submitted that are refused on grounds of being illegal documents; i.e. documents instructing how to carry out illegal acts, nor can we assume responsibility for any outcomes of the use of documents proofread by us at present or in the past or future.

8. The service provider shall be known as 'Englishpro.co.uk' and the service purchaser shall be 'the customer'.
